Loy's the boy for Falkirk

Hat-trick hero Rory Loy helped Falkirk to a 5-0 home win over lowly Cowdenbeath to keep them in the title hunt for the Scottish Championship.

The home side dominated from the off with Loy opening the scoring in the 16th minute with a left-footed volley from Mark Beck's flick.

Loy doubled his tally 15 minutes later with another left-footed strike from just inside the area following further good link-up play between the front two.

Blair Alston effectively made it game over five minutes before the break after another superb volley was fired passed Sebastian Usai in the Cowdenbeath goal, and Craig Sibbald made it four just three minutes into the second half from Mark Millar's through-ball.

Loy calmly completed his hat-trick five minutes later with yet another assist from Beck to make it 19 for the season.
