Falkirk 4-2 Stirling: Match Report

02 January 2011 17:04
Kallum at the double Kallum Higginbotham boosted Falkirk's promotion hopes with a brace in a 4-2 win over Stirling. The former Rochdale striker grabbed his first goals since joining the Bairns over the summer. Higginbotham opened his account in the fifth minute when he swept in Chris Mitchell's corner. Albion found themselves two down in the 20th minute after the unfortunate Brian Allison turned Marc Twaddle's cross into his own net. They pulled one back five minutes later when David Vitiven headed in a Michael Doyle cross. Higginbotham was then denied by a fine save from Callum Reidford, but he made no mistake on the half-hour when he nodded in Kieran Duffie's centre. Defender Brian McLean headed the fourth with an hour gone before Paul McHale crashed in a late effort from long range for Stirling.
