Falkirk held to draw by Doonhamers

Falkirk had to settle for a point as Queen of the South fought back to secure a 2-2 draw at Falkirk Stadium.

The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute when Lyndon Dykes' cut-back found Stephen Dobbie, who notched his 25th goal of the season.

But second-placed Falkirk were back on level terms in the 31st minute through striker Nathan Austin, who headed home from close range.

The Bairns were awarded a penalty in the 70th minute when goalkeeper Lee Robinson fouled Austin in the area, and Aaron Muirhead stepped up to convert his spot-kick.

However, Dobbie scored his second of the afternoon with a neat header in the 78th minute to rescue a point for mid-table Queens.
