Dorman down after Saints slip up
The 26-year-old scored a goal in each half but saw those efforts cancelled out by a Carl Finnigan strike and late Scott Arfield penalty, meaning his side and the visitors are still four points apart in respective 10th and 11th places in the table.[LNB]Dorman, who took his tally for the season to six, says he and his team-mates are now determined to register their first victory at their new stadium when they host Motherwell in Thursday's Scottish Cup replay.[LNB]He said: "We thought we missed out on two points as we had 10 minutes to hold it and didn't manage to do that, and it isn't a great thing any time you come in disappointed after drawing.[LNB]"You think you're in control when you score late and that it's just a case of seeing it out, but it's always in the back of your mind that you don't want to concede and it was disappointing to do so from the penalty.[LNB]"I'd really like to get my goal tally into double figures, but winning games is the most important thing and we have a chance to make up for not winning today on Thursday - it's a tie where there has to be a result, so hopefully that can be us.[LNB]"The atmosphere in the ground was great again today and it's up to the players to get the fans in here and get them behind us."[LNB]Falkirk defender Lee Bullen admitted the second-bottom side were delighted to collect a late point courtesy of Arfield's coolly-struck penalty after Jack Ross' handball.[LNB]It maintained their record of having lost only to Rangers since the turn of the year, and the veteran believes John Hughes' outfit can draw positives from their battling draw as they continue their quest to stretch further away from basement side Inverness.[LNB]Bullen said: "When St Mirren got the second goal, there wasn't long to go and the majority of people probably thought that was game, set and match, but we showed great character to come from behind twice.[LNB]"We put the ball in the box, put them under pressure and got the break with the handball; and Scott Arfield showed a lot of character for a young boy to slot it away.[LNB]"I think we have to be happy, having gone 2-1 down so late in the game, with taking a point as it's another point on the road to survival and we'll take a lot of positives from the way we recovered and take that into our game.[LNB]"We're at home to Hamilton next, who have been on a great run of form, so it will be a very tough game but it's one where we have to look to take three points.[LNB]"It was end-to-end stuff with a lot of meaty tackles going in, but I think we let ourselves down doing the basics, clearing our lines and winning headers well enough - but you have to give St Mirren credit, and in the second half I think they had us pegged back a bit.[LNB]"We came here hoping to get the three points, but the manager hit the nail on the head in saying that it was another test of character; we came through it without playing fantastically well but we showed a lot of resilience."[LNB][LNB]
