Christie expects Hughes to stay
Hughes has been linked with the vacancies at Aberdeen and former club Hibernian.
The 44-year-old has also expressed a desire to manage in England but Christie claims there is no change in the offing.
"I have been reading in the paper that there is an interest in him," Christie told Sky Sports News.
"But he is still under contract with us. We expect that he will be our manager in this coming season. I think that it is a lot of paper talk.
"But, anyway, who knows. He has been with us for five years. He is into his sixth year and no doubt people are saying that he has been here a long time.
"But as far as we are concerned, he is our manager, no indication that there will be any change in that going into next season."
