Bullen agrees Bairns switch

15 May 2008 - 13:09:01

Falkirk have made a second signing for next season by agreeing a two-year contract with former Sheffield Wednesday defender Lee Bullen.

The 37-year-old will join fellow new boy Jackie McNamara with the Bairns, as boss John Hughes makes good his promise to add some experience to his squad.

Bullen told his new club's official website: "I've had the feelers out since I found out I was not getting another contract with Wednesday and I've been in contact with Falkirk for a while.

"There are pros and cons in terms of moving back to Scotland and, obviously, the extra year on the contract was a big pull.

"But I'm delighted to sign for Falkirk, they are a very young side and the manager wants a little more experience to help shelter those younger players if you like."
