Bullen sets sights on more glory

The former Sheffield Wednesday utility player turned 38 in March and is part of a Bairns side which reached the final with the help of other veterans such as Steven Pressley, Neil McCann and Jackie McNamara. Bullen, the oldest of them all, does not accept that the Hampden final could be his last showpiece occasion. "You could have said that after the play-off final for Sheffield Wednesday in 2005 but you can never say never," he said. "I have another year on my contract with Falkirk. "This season we have been to two semi-finals and one final, that shows you it's not beyond us, so why not more? "We will go out to win this one and go out and try to win another one next year." Bullen admits the lead-up to the Hampden final would have been "horrible" if Falkirk had not won at Caley on the last day of the season to avoid relegation down to the First Division. "It could be the best season ever for Falkirk but it could have been different for 90 minutes last week," the former Dunfermline player said. "If we had been relegated, it would have been horrible if we had had a cup final to play. "So we thank our lucky stars that it didn't work out like that. "We got the right result last week which made it so much more enjoyable in training and Saturday will be a great occasion for everyone - an old codger like me or a young lad setting out on his career. "It's not often you get opportunities like this so I just hope we don't let ourselves down." Bullen accepts the Bairns could be in for a tough game against the SPL champions who won the title with a 3-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice. He said: "Some of the football Rangers played against Dundee United last week was the best I had seen them play all season. "The movement and the passing for Boyd's goal was fantastic to watch. Proper Rangers football. "So I would say they would go in to the game on a high and that makes it a tougher task for us."
