The 38-year-old was told by new manager Eddie May that he would not be part of his first team, but he has quickly secured a new role at the club he joined last summer. May told the Bairns' official website "Lee wasn't going to feature in my first-team plans but I have been extremely impressed by his leadership qualities around the club and his desire to work with young players. "I am delighted that Lee has taken this challenge on board." Former Sheffield Wednesday captain Bullen added: "It was definitely the route I wanted to take, I am really excited about it. "I am already fully qualified as a coach, currently I hold my UEFA A Licence. For me this is the first step into coaching and management. "I never quite made it to the very top as a player, hopefully I will be more successful as a coach."
