Boss May culls Bairns squad

New Falkirk manager Eddie May has wasted little time reshaping his squad after opting to release eight players.
Dani Mallo, Kevin McBride, Patrick Cregg, Dean Holden, Michael Higdon, Steven Lovell, Mark Staunton and Scott Gibb have all been told their futures lie elsewhere.
However, striker Carl Finnigan is set to sign a new deal with the Bairns while Robert Olejnik has agreed a two-year contract extension.
May told the club's official website "We wish all of the players every success in the future and thank them for their contribution to the football club.
"Robert Olejnik's still a young goalkeeper. I think people sometimes forget that. He has a bright future ahead of him. I'm pleased that he's decided to extend his time with us.
"An agreement with Carl Finnigan has been reached and I'm delighted that Carl will be with us again next season."
