Bairns star raises the Barr

Falkirk boss John Hughes has sung the praises of promising defender Darren Barr, who is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

The 21-year-old has been a key performer for the Bairns this season and Hughes is delighted with Barr's progress.

He said: "I can see a lot of my players growing in stature as the season goes on.

"If you take Darren Barr, for example, he's in just his first year in the SPL. He's been absolutely outstanding.

"He's had consistency, he's wholehearted, he wears his heart on his sleeve and you only have to tell him something once and he takes it on board."
