Falkirk boss John Hughes has appealed to his Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger to allow on-loan Anthony Stokes to remain at the SPL club.
The 18-year-old has been in lethal form since arriving at Falkirk Park where he has found the back of the net ten times in nine appearances.
Stokes, named the SPL's young player of the month in October, struck a second successive hat-trick against Dunfermline on Saturday and the Bairns are desperate to keep hold of the Arsenal starlet.
"I'd love to keep Anthony here after Christmas and we have a fantastic relationship with Arsenal, but ultimately, they will call the shots," said Hughes.
"We have first option on him, but there are a few things which will have to be looked at.
"First and foremost, we have to respect Arsenal's wishes as they might want to take him back. All that matters is what Arsenal say."
