Falkirk manager John Hughes was full of praise for forward Graham Barrett, after he helped the Bairns to a 2-0 victory at home to rock-bottom Gretna.
The 26-year-old Irishman has endured a torrid time with injuries, having failed to make a single appearance during his first season with Falkirk.
However, Barrett has now netted three times in 12 games this term, with Hughes saying: "I can't speak highly enough of Graham when you see the workload he has done to get back to where he is now.
"If you'd seen him three months ago in his first game back against Livingston's Under-19s he was miles away, but that's his second 90 minutes for a couple of years and I'm delighted for him.
"I know how hard he works and how passionate he is about his football. He'll only get better.
"I think sometimes in football when guys get that sort of thing, they deserve a little bit of luck and things to go their way.
"Hopefully it'll send him on the way to scoring a lot more goals for us."
