Bairns appeal Holden dismissal

Falkirk have decided to appeal against the red card shown to defender Dean Holden in the 2-0 defeat at Hibernian.
The 27-year-old was dismissed shortly before half-time for a foul on Merouane Zemmama, but Bairns boss John Hughes felt the decision was harsh.
He commented after the game: "I didn't see it as a red card, it was right in front of me.
"I think Holden was fully committed to go for the ball, which he is entitled to do unless it's a non-contact sport. For me, the red card just beggars belief.
"I think the referee had a poor game, like every time we seem to get Craig Thomson.
"But I think Craig is one of the best referees in Scotland, probably is the best referee."
