Bairns stopper wants passing game
The Austrian keeper had only one shot to deal with in Saturday's 1-0 loss and could do nothing about Michael Stewart's only goal of the game from the spot.[LNB]But it was his side's attempts to work their way back into the match that left May seething at the end of a frustrating 90 minutes.[LNB]The Bairns boss accused his players of going against his teachings and playing too many high balls in search of an equaliser.[LNB]And Olejnik admits Falkirk' young and technical side will remain rooted to the bottom of the table unless they remember to stick to their passing principles.[LNB]Speaking ahead of Tuesday's trip to face Aberdeen, Olejnik said: "If you're a passing team it should be easier in tight games because you can keep the ball and make the opposition run and get them tired, and then hit them with the sucker punch. We have the better players to be able to do that.[LNB]"We got sucked into Hearts' game a little bit, playing long balls, especially towards the end. We need to get more composure on the ball.[LNB]"We play well by passing the ball, we're not as good kicking the ball forward. Even when it gets to the last 20 minutes we need to keep doing it, and if we do that we can get results.[LNB]"If you look at the Kilmarnock game, we passed the ball and we got the win.[LNB]"But the lads are pretty happy that there's a game straight away, and that we don't have to wait another week.[LNB]"It's just up to us to put it right now, we can go up there and if we believe in ourselves and do better I think we can get a result."[LNB]Falkirk head for Pittodrie only two points behind second-bottom Kilmarnock and know that victory will, at least temporarily, move them off the foot of the table.[LNB]And Olejnik is hopeful the Bairns can begin the New Year by consigning another side to the pressure of propping up the division.[LNB]He added: "It is frustrating. The team might not be playing better than you and yet they get three points.[LNB]"But the gap's not too big. There's only a few points between us and a couple good results this week and we could be right back in that pack.[LNB]"We've got to keep the pressure on and make sure the teams look over their shoulder and think 'Falkirk are still there and not cut miles adrift'.[LNB]"We've got to keep the pressure on somebody else and maybe by the end of the week we could be off the bottom of the table and someone else might have to think 'We're struggling now and we have to put pressure on someone else'."[LNB][LNB] Aberdeen v Falkirk.
