Bairns snap up Spanish keeper

Pending international clearance, the former Sporting Braga and Deportivo La Coruna player, 29, could make his debut in Saturday's Scottish Premier League match at Motherwell.[LNB]Mallo did enough in a trial game against Livingston last week to earn a deal.[LNB]Bairns boss John Hughes told his club's official website: "I'm really glad to get the lad - he comes highly recommended.[LNB]"He has impressed me at training - and if the international clearance comes through on time, he will be part of the squad for Saturday's game with Motherwell."[LNB]Hughes had been looking for an experienced player to provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Robert Olejnik after the on-loan Scott Flinders returned to parent club Crystal Palace.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
