Wary Tisdale fears for Stewart
26 Nov 2008 - 12:50:03
Veteran Exeter City striker Marcus Stewart may have played his last game of the year after injuring ankle ligaments in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Rotherham United.
The former Ipswich Town and Huddersfield Town forward picked up the injury midway through the second half and boss Paul Tisdale fears the worst.
The Grecians chief said: "He's gone over on his ankle ligaments which are pretty badly torn. It was very disappointing because he's one of the senior players.
"We'll only find out in the next few days, as is the case with ligament strains.
"It could be anything from two to four or five weeks depending on how bad it is, but we can't say that until we see how it settles over the next 48 hours."
