Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale was ecstatic after seeing his side end Bury's unbeaten start to the League Two campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Gigg Lane.
Richard Logan scored the only goal of the game just seven minutes in, with the Grecians having to stave off heavy pressure to secure an impressive victory.
Tisdale said: "We certainly did it the hard way, getting an early goal and the long, long hold-out.
"But it was a great day for us, that's three wins in a row for us now and we're certainly finding our feet.
"We went through the full spectrum - playing some football, putting in a lot of hard work and some very gritty defending against a decent side.
"The longer the game went on the messier the defending had to be but there were some heroic displays out there."
