Tisdale cools Royals talk

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale insists he has not been approached by Reading about the managerial vacancy at the Madejski Stadium.

After guiding the Grecians to two successive promotions, Tisdale is one of the hottest managerial properties in the Football League and had been spoken of as a possible successor to Steve Coppell who resigned earlier this month.

However, Tisdale told the Exeter Express & Echo: "All I'll say is that no-one has spoken to me. Reading haven't made an approach to Exeter and we haven't spoken to Reading.

"It's just pure speculation. I can't really say too much more because there's nothing behind it. There's been no contact, so therefore there's no interest. I'm very much planning for next year with Exeter and I love my job."
