Stewart ponders career end

Exeter City's veteran striker Marcus Stewart is considering calling time on his illustrious career at the end of the current campaign.

The 36-year-old has been a regular starter since joining the Grecians last summer, a position which may tempt Stewart to play on for one more season.

He told the Express & Echo: "I will make a decision after Christmas over whether I want to play on next season or go on to other things.

"I will make a decision before the end of January and Paul Tisdale will be the first person to know what I want to do.

"When you get to my age you just want to be playing football. When you're not playing there comes a time when you have to make a decision and when that day comes for me, I will probably have a good think about my role.

"I don't want to be sat on the bench, but at the moment everything is going fine and I'm happy."
