Ref leaves Golbourne angry

Exeter City defender Scott Golbourne thought the referee denied his side a last-gasp penalty against Wycombe Wanderers.

The Grecians had appeared to be heading for defeat until Barry Corr grabbed a late equaliser and they then almost won the game when Neil Saunders appeared to be fouled inside the penalty area by Lewis Hunt.

However, referee Steve Rushton waved away City's frantic penalty appeals, to Golbourne's annoyace.

He said: "I played a one-two with Neil Saunders and I could see it was a blatant penalty."
