Panther primed for action
24 Nov 2008 - 13:19:08
Manny Panther hopes his Exeter City career is finally on an upward curve after the midfielder scored the Grecians' late equaliser against Morecambe.
The 24-year-old moved to St James Park from York City in the summer but, after making an inauspicious start to life with the League Two new boys, was loaned out to Rushden & Diamonds, where he picked up two red cards in three starts.
However, after coming off the substitute's bench to score for the Grecians against Morecambe, Panther told the Express & Echo: "Hopefully this can be the starting point for me.
"I came here in the summer hoping to play and it didn't work out at the start of the season.
"I went out on loan to Rushden to get my fitness up and things obviously didn't work out after I got the first two red cards of my career.
"So it's been a strange season for me. But I spoke to the manager last week and I told him that my focus is back and I want a fresh start at Exeter."
