Noble handed Grecians chance
07 Jan 2010 - 12:29:16
Former Arsenal and Bristol City midfielder David Noble has joined Exeter City even though he is struggling to overcome a cruciate knee ligament injury he picked up in the summer.
Grecians boss Paul Tisdale is pleased to have tied up the deal and hopes the 27-year-old will be ready to make his debut for the club in March.
Tisdale said: "David's a very good age and he has good pedigree having been at Arsenal and Bristol City, so he's a very good player and I think he'll add value to the other players around him as well.
"He'll add drive to the other players. He's been a player we've seen play over the last couple of years and have always been impressed with.
"We felt that should we ever have the chance to sign him we would take the chance. He has a lot of potential and will be a very good player for us."
"I think he will suit the way we play and I think he will have an impact on our team when he is fully fit, so I'm very pleased about having him with us and I think he will be a very good addition to the squad."
