In-form Basham eyes start

Exeter City striker Steve Basham sees no reason why he can't become a first-team regular this season.

The 30-year-old only started 19 games for the Grecians as Steve Tilsdale's side won promotion from the Blue Square Premier League last term folloiwng his switch from Oxford United.

However, after finding the net five times in pre-season, Basham told the Express & Echo: "There are six or seven people playing for three places up front so you can't expect to play all the time unless you're scoring a goal or two every game."

Basham scored 49 times in 189 games during his time with Oxford.
