Grecians to battle points deduction

Thursday Sep 29 2005 16:51

Exeter City chairman Ian Huxham has vowed to battle the decision to deduct the club 12 points after they entered into a CVA in a bid to ease their financial worries.

The club are confused as to exactly what the regulations surrounding the points deduction are and have already launched a formal appeal against the decision, but face a two-month wait before they find out whether or not it has succeeded.

"It is an extremely grey area. There are an awful lot of unanswered questions regarding the matter," Huxham told the Exeter Express & Echo.

"I am eager to get a definitive answer and get to the bottom of this. Nobody knows exactly what is going on and there is a lot of confusion.

"We have launched an appeal and I feel passionately that the club has strong grounds for appeal."
