Grecians bring in Burnell

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has added former Oxford United midfielder Joe Burnell to his squad.

The 28-year-old ex-Bristol City player was released by the U's at the end of last term.

Tisdale said of his latest signing: "He's a very consistent and professional performer and we need some of those players in our squad to complement the younger players.

"He'll be a useful addition and I'm very pleased he's with us. He's captained every side he's been at and he's combative and you need players like that in your team."

The Grecians have already signed Alex Russell, Barry Corr and Scott Golbourne this summer.
