Flack stays loyal to Grecians

Exeter City's veteran striker Steve Flack has pledged to stay with the Grecians, despite interest from a number of other clubs.

The 32-year-old was a target for Chester City and a handful of Nationwide Division Three clubs, after City slipped into the Conference, but Flack wants to remain at St James' Park.

He told the Express & Echo: "I've had these managers phone me up, but I've told them all that I'm totally committed to Exeter City.

"Everyone always wants a big striker especially with me being left-footed as well. There are lots of smaller strikers about, but it's hard to get hold of tall strikers, especially ones who are regularly going to get into double figures.

"I've heard one or two rumours that other people might also want me, but Eamonn Dolan has told me that I'm definitely in his plans.

"And being top goalscorer for Exeter so many times, I see no reason to leave."
