Exeter City boss Eamonn Dolan has admitted that he would be interested in signing winger Martin Phillips, who has been released by Plymouth Argyle.
The 28-year-old started his career with the Grecians and Dolan is keeping tabs on him as he faces the loss of James Coppinger this summer.
He told the Express & Echo: "We will certainly keep a close eye on his situation because we want to improve all areas of the squad.
"He is a great attacking player with genuine quality and we have to be interested in players like that. It's definitely someone I would like to have a look at.
"But we can't rush into anything because of our finances."
