Cronin confident about play-off place

Exeter City skipper Glenn Cronin is confident that the Grecians will clinch a Nationwide Conference play-off place, despite slipping out of the top five.

Back-to-back defeats by Chester City and Woking over Easter mean that Exeter now need to win both their final two games and hope that one of their rivals slips up.

Cronin is convinced that the Grecians are capable of beating both Tamworth and Accrington Stanley and would be surprised if that was not enough to seal a place in the play-offs.

"We have got to focus on winning our last two games and if someone slips up then that would be great," he told the Exeter Express & Echo.

"The lads were very disappointed after the Woking game, but we have had to get over that very quickly because these two games are massive.

"I am confident that we can win these games and get into the play-offs. It's an exciting time at the moment because a lot of us haven't been in this position before."
