Tisdale upbeat despite defeat

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale was proud of the way his side battled with 10 men against Walsall and felt the Grecians deserved a draw at the Banks`s Stadium. With City losing 2-0, centre-back Troy Archibald-Henville was sent off for a second bookable offence a minute before half-time. But Exeter, now beaten only three times in 11 league games, fought back splendidly in the second-half, pulling a goal back through top scorer Ryan Harley in the 53rd minute before pushing all the way for an equaliser. "We made life difficult for ourselves but still deserved a draw," said Tisdale. "I thought we deserved a draw but that 10 minutes before half-time cost us a result and a performance." Asked if he had any complaints about the sending off, Tisdale replied: "I have no complaints and thought the referee (Graham Salisbury) was excellent and the best we have had this season. He kept the game flowing and made good decisions all over the pitch." Tisdale added: "We looked the better side with 10 men, there's no doubt about it, and we had chances to score another goal. I can't complain about the way we played in the second half with 10 men because we kept a clean sheet and nearly got a point with a shot that just cleared the bar."
