Tisdale hails Grecians` spirit

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale paid tribute to his side after they overcame promotion rivals Carlisle 2-1. Two Richard Logan goals ensured the Grecians maintained their unbeaten home record at the expense of the high-flying Cumbrians. The striker twice broke the offside trap to score before Carlisle substitute Matty Robson pulled one back for the visitors with a fine free-kick. "It was a hard fought win in the end," said Tisdale. "Carlisle showed why they have been in the top two or three places in the league because they are a very attacking side and they had a real spirited second half. "I am really pleased with the two-goal burst, but more pleased with the way we saw the game out. "Sometimes, it is good for the players to get through a game where it is tight at the end and you have defended pressure and we did that. I feel quite pleased to come through the way in which we did and proud of the players. It is another good three points."
