Exeter have signed striker John O'Flynn from Barnet on a free transfer despite interest from Bristol City and Gillingham. The Bees released O'Flynn after both parties failed to come to an agreement over a new deal. The 28-year-old netted 15 goals in all competitions for the Bees last season and now will look forward to the new season with the Grecians. O'Flynn started his career at Portsmouth before joining Cork City where managed 68 goals in 138 appearances, winning the League of Ireland and the FAI Cup. He moved to Barnet for an undisclosed fee in September 2008. "I am delighted to be here, it is a great club and it is one I hold in very high regard." O'Flynn told the club's official website. "I have had some great feedback from those that have played here before and I am really looking forward to league one football. "I aim to play as many games as I can and the goals will come."
