Grecians to stick with Nichols

Exeter look set to stick with Tom Nichols when they face Scunthorpe.

The Grecians, who have won just once on home soil since October, know inflicting a first defeat in 29 games on Scunthorpe would secure their League Two status and Nichols is set to start, despite being withdrawn at the break in Monday's 2-1 loss to Torquay.

Meanwhile, winger David Wheeler will hope to start having put in an impressive display as a substitute in their Devon derby defeat while captain Danny Coles is pushing for a recall.

City sit just two places above the League Two relegation zone having thrown away a 1-0 lead on Monday.

Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox is expected to name an unchanged starting line-up as his side look to seal automatic promotion.

Wilcox, who has no new selection issues, made only one change for Monday's home win against Oxford as Michael Collins was recalled in place of teenager Hakeeb Adelakun and the experienced midfielder is likely to retain his place.

Matt Sparrow moved to the left side of midfield with Collins, who had a recent loan spell at AFC Wimbledon, playing in a central role alongside David Syers.

The Iron will be promoted automatically if Fleetwood do not win and could seal the title with victory if both Chesterfield and Rochdale fail to take three points.
