Tisdale tempted to tinker with efficacious Exeter eleven

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale could change a winning team for the visit of Portsmouth.

Tisdale confirmed after Saturday's 2-0 win at Stevenage that David Noble had trained only twice in five weeks following a calf problem he picked up in the FA Cup defeat at Liverpool in January.

Noble was part of a much-changed Grecians side which claimed a first win in five matches, but two games in four days after such a lengthy absence might be asking too much of the 34-year-old.

Jayden Stockley is bound to be in contention to start after scoring twice at Stevenage as a second-half substitute, and Lee Holmes could also come into the reckoning for a midfield spot.

Fifth-placed Portsmouth have injury problems ahead of the trip to Devon.

Gary Roberts, Adam McGurk and Michael Smith all missed the 2-1 home victory over Cambridge and seem poised to miss out again.

Danny Hollands made his first appearance on Saturday after breaking his leg in the FA Cup at Ipswich, but Pompey boss Paul Cook must decide whether the influential midfielder can stand up to the demands of another game so soon after spending seven weeks out.

Gareth Evans could feature after recent hamstring trouble - the midfielder made a 20-minute cameo appearance from the bench against Cambridge.
