Exeter pair doubtful for Cambridge clash

Exeter duo David Wheeler and Jordan Moore-Taylor are fitness doubts for the visit of Cambridge.

The pair suffered dead-legs in the Grecians' Checkatrade Trophy victory over Chelsea's Under-23 side on Tuesday night.

Exeter already have a lengthy injury list with Troy Archibald-Henville (groin), Jordan Tillson (ankle), Troy Brown (hip), Tom McCready (groin) and Ryan Harley (hip) all missing in recent weeks.

But striker Robbie Simpson should be available to face his former club after a minor knock forced him out of last weekend's 4-1 win at Barnet.

Cambridge manager Shaun Derry will make a late decision on whether Will Norris will travel to St James Park for the weekend's game.

In-form goalkeeper Norris missed the 1-0 defeat to Grimsby last Saturday due to tonsillitis but has been back training this week.

Uche Ikpeazu has not yet resumed full training but is building his fitness without kicking a ball.

The U's have lost one game in the last six and are currently 21st in the table.
