Trio strengthen Grecians Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could be handed a triple boost for the visit of Bristol Rovers. Forwards Alan Gow and Guillem Bauza will be in contention after they missed last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Southend with respective thigh and groin strains. Both have proved their fitness prior to the clash with Mark McGhee's side and Liam Sercombe could strengthen Tisdale's options even further. The midfielder is rated as 50/50 to shake off an ankle injury as the Grecians look to bounce back after their five-match unbeaten run was brought to an end by the Shrimpers. Despite the defeat, Exeter remained in the automatic promotion places. Tisdale's side have lost just once at St James' Park this season, back on the opening day against Morecambe. On-loan striker Tom Eaves could make his Bristol Rovers debut. Eaves has arrived on a three-month deal from Bolton to fill the void left by Matt Harrold, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Manager McGhee has also swooped to sign free agent Derek Riordan and the striker could make his bow as Rovers look to amend their record of scoring just once in their last three outings. The Pirates are expected to be without defender Michael Smith for compassionate reasons with McGhee insisting he would be given all the time he needs. The game comes too soon for goalkeeper Scott Bevan (wrist) with McGhee admitting they were unsure when he would return. Defender Danny Woodards is still a month away from action as he recovers from a broken leg.
