Exeter set to be without defensive duo

Exeter defenders Troy Archibald-Henville and Troy Brown are set to miss the EFL Cup visit of Brentford through injury.

Archibald-Henville is likely to be absent for another week, having sat out Saturday's opening game of the season at Blackpool with a knock.

Brown limped off with a thigh injury during the 2-0 defeat and is unlikely to feature.

Jamaican winger Joel Grant (calf) is also doubtful for Paul Tisdale's side that could include highly-rated teenager Ethan Ampadu, who trained with the senior Wales squad ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.

Brentford manager Dean Smith has no fresh injury or suspension worries.

The Bees lost 2-1 in their opening Sky Bet Championship game against Huddersfield at the weekend but will still be without Maxime Colin due to a calf injury.

Andreas Bjelland is also a doubt due to an abductor strain which kept him out of the action on Saturday.

Striker Lasse Vibe is unavailable as he competes with the Denmark squad at the Olympic Games in Rio.
