Paul Tisdale set to ring changes for Exeter

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could make a number of changes for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Accrington.

The Grecians lost 3-0 at Liverpool in their FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday in a match the manager described as "very tough".

That may lead to some players being rested at St James Park, with Jayden Stockley in line for a recall having been cup-tied for the clash at Anfield.

Midfielder Ryan Harley is still out with a hip problem while David Wheeler will be pushing for a start having made his comeback from a foot injury off the bench in the cup loss.

Shay McCartan and Adam Buxton are likely to keep their spots in Accrington's side.

McCartan scored a brace in his first start of the season against Hartlepool while full-back Buxton, making his first start since October, was also on the scoresheet.

Stanley manager John Coleman said this week this is the strongest squad he has ever had and that means veteran midfielders Anthony Barry and Andy Procter will have to again make do with a place on the bench.

Gerardo Bruna will be in the squad, despite this week agreeing terms to join a team in Canada next summer, but Dean Winnard, who has not played since November, underwent surgery on Thursday.
