Exeter City have said they will not be offering trialist goalkeeper Scott Fox a contract. The 21-year-old Scottish goalkeeper's ties to former club Celtic are said to be the reason that no deal took place. [LNB]Grecians director of football Steve Perryman said: "Because Celtic had him [Fox] as a young player they still retain his rights. [LNB]"On this occasion we aren't in a position to offer the host club the deal they desire." [LNB]Perryman continued: "He's a nice lad, a good player and we like him. [LNB]"But we didn't like him enough yet to offer him the length of contract needed to satisfy this rights situation with Celtic as well as the player himself."
