Exeter hammer Hereford

Exeter coasted through to the third round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after beating struggling Hereford 3-0 with goals from Daniel Nardiello, John O'Flynn and Richard Duffy. Striker Nardiello put the Grecians in front in the 14th minute from the penalty spot after he was fouled by defender Michael Townsend. Hereford midfielder James McQuilken went close to levelling when he lashed a free-kick inches wide of the Hereford goalmouth when the ball skimmed away off the goalpost. But Exeter struck again in the 53rd minute when O'Flynn turned a cross from James Dunne into the net from six yards and, deep into stoppage time, Duffy completed Exeter's scoring with a powerful drive.
