Cumbrians clash off

27 December 2010 11:30
Exeter's visit to Carlisle on Tuesday has fallen foul to the continued freezing weather gripping the country. Despite the covers protecting the pitch, the Brunton Park playing surface is still frozen with no chance of a thaw before the game and a local referee called the game off. A club spokesman told Carlisle's official website: "With the current level of frost and predicted temperatures of around plus two degrees, we don't feel there will be enough time for the pitch to recover ahead of the 3pm kick-off. "The pitch was unable to take a stud so the game has been postponed." No new date for the clash has been arranged.
