Yobo set for Toffees deal

Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo looks set for a long-term stay at Everton, with a new four-year deal in the offing.

Yobo is currently renegotiating a four-year contract after the Nigerian World Cup stopper moved to Goodison Park on loan from Marseille last summer.

He has impressed Toffees manager David Moyes, who wants to get the player to sign a fresh deal.

"We are renegotiating a new contract. I hope this contract is in place before the close of the transfer window this month or by the end of the season," Yobo said.

French side Marseille and Moyes' men have already agreed a fee for the 22-year-old.
