Yobo wants another clean sheet

Everton defender Joseph Yobo is hoping his side can continue their excellent defensive record against BATE Borisov. The Toffees have not conceded in 371 minutes of football and the Nigerian centre-back is hoping to extend this run into the Europa League. Yobo, who is acting as captain in the absence of the injured Phil Neville, is starting to form a solid partnership with Sylvain Distin at the back, following the departure of Joleon Lescott to Manchester City and the absence of Phil Jagielka. "We know if we can keep clean sheets we can go on and win games," he said. "It is something we want to continue as it is a very important aspect of the game. We are back on track now and doing pretty good, so we are looking forward to this match. "Sylvain (Distin) is a quality player and very experienced. He is now settling down and that is helping us. "We already have a good understanding and keeping clean sheets is building our confidence. Hopefully we will keep improving. "BATE have played in the Champions League and will want to use this to their advantage. We will have to be on our guard."
