Yobo secures Fenerbahce switch

Everton defender Joseph Yobo has completed his move to Turkish side Fenerbahce on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed.[LNB] The deal, which includes the option to make the transfer permanent next summer, went through ahead of the closure of the Turkish transfer window after the 29-year-old agreed terms and passed a medical.[LNB]Yobo, who joined Everton from Marseille in 2002, has not played for the club this season, most recently missing the 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa last weekend with a slight thigh problem.[LNB]Yobo, who was David Moyes' first signing as Everton boss, has made nearly 200 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.[LNB]He also captained the side in Phil Neville's absence in 2007 but the form of Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka saw him lose his place in the first team last season.[LNB]Yobo has represented Nigeria in two World Cups, captaining the Super Eagles in South Africa during the summer.
