West Ham preparing fresh approach for Yakubu as Avram Grant seeks reunion with Everton striker

West Ham are upping their efforts to sign Everton striker Yakubu now Avram Grant has been confirmed as the club's new manager.[LNB]Grant is set to take charge at Upton Park later this month once he is issued a work permit. The club have already sealed the signing of Germany midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger as Grant looks to revamp a squad that narrowly escaped Premier League relegation last season.[LNB]The former Portsmouth and Chelsea boss is keen on a reunion with Yabuku, according to the Liverpool Daily Post.
