Vaughan set for Toffees loan exit

Published: 04 Sep 2010 - 15:49:00

Everton boss David Moyes is set to allow out-of-favour striker James Vaughan go out on loan so he can get some first-team football. Vaughan, who had loan spells with Championship sides Derby and Leicester last season, is a target for Sheffield United and Burnley, according to the Daily Mirror. And the newspaper reports that Moyes wants to send the player out on loan ahead of a permanent exit from Goodison Park. Vaughan has struggled to establish himself in the Toffees' first-team and is behind the likes of Louis Saha, Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford in the pecking order. The loan window for Football League clubs opens next week and the player is set to join a Championship club.
