Vaughan set for loan move

Everton are hoping to send striker James Vaughan out on loan in a bid to play more first-team football.

Vaughan, 21, has struggled to break into the starting line-up this season following several injury problems and Toffees boss David Moyes is looking to farm him out.

Louis Saha, Jo and fit-again Ayegbeni Yakubu are all now ahead of the youngster in the current pecking order.

"We think it would benefit him to get some games under his belt," Moyes told the club's official website.

"We have not been able to do that for the boy and he has missed a lot of football, so we wouldn't be opposed to it (going on loan)."

The England Under-21 international has previously been linked with a move to Championship side Middlesbrough.
