Everton boss David Moyes has admitted that Chinese midfielder Li Tie is struggling to live up to the high standards set during his first season with the Toffees.
The 26-year-old has started just six games this season after being a regular last term and Moyes is aware that his player is finding life hard at Goodison Park.
He said: "It has definitely been tougher for him this year.
"He made a big impression on everyone last season, but this time round he has definitely found it harder, so it might need this year for him to settle down again.
"He has certainly got the potential to be a good player and hopefully we will start to see him reproduce the form that he showed in so many games last season."
