Everton new boy Lars Jacobsen is delighted to have been given the chance to make his mark in England, having signed a one-year contract at Goodison Park.
The 28-year-old right-back will join the Toffees on a free transfer after leaving German club Nurnberg at the end of last season, having previously played for Hamburg, FC Copenhagen and Odense BK.
Jacobsen has also won nearly 20 caps for his country.
He told the Daily Post: "I'm very happy and very relieved it ended up like this because this was the best solution. It was very good that we kept calm it's been worth the wait.
"I met David Moyes and the players. Everton are a big club and it's a fantastic opportunity for me which I couldn't say no to.
"I'm satisfied with the one-year deal and we have the possibility to look at another one.
"It was the Premier League where I wanted to be. Everton know what they are getting they have seen me in a lot of matches it's up to me now."
