Toffees clinch awards double

Everton's fine form in February has resulted in them being handed two monthly awards.

David Moyes and Phil Jagielka have won the Barclays Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.

The Toffees beat Bolton Wanderers 3-0 and West Brom 2-0 in the league during the month as well as drawing 0-0 at Newcastle United.

Everton also knocked Liverpool and Aston Villa out of the FA Cup during February.

Moyes, who has now won the managers' award five times, said: "Of course I'm pleased with the recognition. But it isn't for me, it's the players who've done their jobs. It's for the whole club.

"What I want is a trophy for the whole club to enjoy now, not just for me. It's hard to drag this award away from Sir Alex Ferguson these days, so that's something to be proud of."
