Toffees challenge Anichebe

Everton teenager Victor Anichebe has been challenged to turn himself into one of the Premiership's top strikers.

The 18-year-old has already made 15 appearances for the Toffees this term and impressed in netting a double in the recent 3-0 home win over Newcastle United.

That has led assistant manager Alan Irvine to challenge Anichebe to improve further by learning from other top Premiership performers.

He said: "We are putting together clips of strikers like Didier Drogba to show him and if we can turn him into someone who is an all-round striker like Drogba, it would be fantastic.

"Victor has got a lot to learn right now, but he is very keen to learn and he is developing all parts of his game.

"Who knows, maybe one day he will be as good as that, and that would be a great credit to him."
